William Shakespeare and the human nature

The works of William Shakespeare normally has themes about the human nature. The play of Macbeth, the author shows the weakness of humanity towards the evil.  Through the play the reader can see his opinion with events that happens to the characters. For example when Macbeth talk with the three witches, the withes say that Macbeth is weak because of his human soul.  Another thing that William Shakespeare expresses in his play of Macbeth is the ambition of the human been that can provoke their own destruction. Lady Macbeth at the beginning of the play pressures Macbeth in order to kill the king, so Macbeth can be king and she can be queen. At the end of the play, William Shakespeare shows how Lady Macbeth goes insane because of the guilt she feel and her death as consequence. The works of William Shakespeare has knowledge about the human nature and the reader can applied those knowledge to their daily life.

What William Shakespeare states in his plays about the human nature is true. There are a lot of studies and works that goes with William Shakespeare’s opinion. For example Hobbes in one of his works also said that the ambition of humanity is their destruction. Even though you do not read about those themes we can see in the daily life what William Shakespeare says about the nature of humans. The people often prefer the bad things than the good ones because they seem easier, funnier and make the human feel pleasure. How many times we do not hear in the news that a politician robes or someone killed their parents because they wanted to inherit something?   In conclusion, what William Shakespeare says about human nature is true and he mention them in his plays to make humans capacitate about their acts and change them.

Macbeth

Macbeth, one of the best known plays written by William Shakespeare, have themes that can be clearly observe since the beginning. Normally the author uses the weak points of the human’s behavior as a theme and expresses them at the beginning of the story with their consequence at the end. For example in Romeo and Juliet, the main theme is the young’s passion and amorousness. A long the play we can see how Macbeth, the principal character, does the most cruel things in order to be king, in other words, the thirst of power. The thirst of power is very common in the human’s behavior and it one of their weakest point, but this can be positive. The positive of this desire is that the individual can surpass himself and learn more and acquire a better lifestyle. In Macbeth, William Shakespeare shows the extreme part of the desire of power. For example: in the real life, the history of many royal families, a relative kills their own relatives in order to rule the kingdom (just like Macbeth do with Duncan and his sons). The reason the people do anything to gain more power is because the like the feeling and to demonstrate the other how powerful they are. There is an experiment that was done in a university. The experiment was to set the ambiance like if 20 students were in prison. In the prison will be “security guards” (they would have the power) and “criminals”. It was suppose to last one month but because of the cruelty things the students in the role of guards do to the other students, in the role of criminals. The experiment shows how a human being can be obsessed with the power they have. (The links below will explain more about the experiment) Also they demonstrate the pleasure the human’s have with the power and how they like to submit the others.

The classical literature has its own beauty. Macbeth is a play that has rhythm and some rhetorical figures which make the piece unique and with timing. The themes that are represented in the play are situation of the common life, it is not so far from the society and it makes easier to understand the plot of the play. The only problem that the classic literature has is that the author uses archetypes which make the reading a little bit difficult.
